Hey, I am 155 pounds when wet and just got an O’Brien system wake board that is 140cm will I be able to ride the board well or is it to big? heres the board http://cgi.ebay.com/O’Brien-System-Wakeboard-with-System-Bindings-140cm-NEW_W0QQitemZ370215077544QQcmdZViewItemQQimsxZ20090614?IMSfp=TL090614168006r24902
yeah you would be fine, if anything its big. But if your a beginner bigger is better. I am 130′ish pounds and have a 132, by hyperlite. If you are going to be doing big jumps and air trick I would consider getting a 136′ish but you will still be fine with that board. Good Luck! wakeboarding is SO much fun!!!

My roomate’s brother just bought a boat and I was just wondering if I really needed a wake tower on the boat to wakeboard…PS i dont really need to worry about gettin too much air, I’m a rookie at this sport
you don’t need a Wakeboard Tower to wakeboard, although it does definitely help as you progress, its actually better to learn basics without one since you aren’t too worried about getting big air but instead you focus on correcting and mastering fundamentals
but as you do get better and better you may want to look into getting some ballasts and a tower if not a new boat, one thing a tower does for your boat is stabilize it while turning and stuff

i have a used 2004 hyperlite wakeboard w/ bindings i want to sell along w/ a good slalom ski anybody know the value of these
the wakeboard is 136cm hyperlite premier, biolite core, and used for two seaons
the bindings that would come with it are 2004 hyperlite temets size md/lg(9.5-11)also used for 2 sesons
also is a slalom ski 2003 connely concept w/ med. bindings and spare rear toe plate
I’d say they are worth what someone is willing to pay for them. The eBay or Craigs list route is probably your best bet. You could also try http://www.wakeboarder.com and list the wakeboard on the classified forum.

I have been learning wakeboarding behind a Jetski. We have no tower for the rope, just same position as a tube… What is the ideal length I should have for the rope? Perhaps, if you can, also let me know how the difference in the rope length will affect me.
Thanks !!!
the only thing you have to concern yourself with behind a PWC is the spray. You will probably need the full 75′ on a standard line to make sure that spray isn’t a nuisance. Behind a boat there are a lot of factors involved in figuring your optimum line length: boat speed, weight in the boat, skill level. take those into consideration then find the cleanest part of the wake. Behind a PWC you can do it the same way but since the wake is negligible anyway it truly does not matter.
