I am a beginner wakeboarder (have only done two or three time with friends board) but have decided to buy buy my own. I just bought a krown royal flush 137 and Im hoping I made a good choive for a beginner.

Also if anyone can give me advice on a cheap but not budget pair of bindings that will fit this board.

yea that’s a good board for a beginner nothing too fancy about it, go with Obrien for some good quality cheap bindings.

How do I remove algae from bindings?

Posted: October 2nd, 2011 | Author: admin | Filed under: Wakeboard Bindings | 1 Comment »

I have a pair of ‘09 Ronix One Wakeboard Bindings and I’ve noticed they have algae in the gold sections of the boot. I was wondering if there is some way to remove the algae without damaging the bindings? e.g. soak them in something.
I would like to get them looking good again for summer.
The algae is underneath a layer of clear plastic/rubber and is beginning to cover the gold areas..

First, brush your bindings using a tooth brush and water and soap clearing all the algae you can see. Second, make a weak solution of household bleach and clean the same area. The bleach should clean the algae remnants. Try the bleach on a small bit of the binding to learn if it will affect the color or surface. Wax the cleaned areas with a clear waterproof wax.

Moisture must be getting in somewhere. Instead of bleach try vinegar. Inject it with a hypodermic needle. It may also be possible to use a hairdryer to heat the algae and kill it.

CWB torq or vapor wakeboard bindings?

I’m looking at these 2 pair of bindings for my new set. I was just wondering if anyone has used either one or both of them and could give me input on how you liked them and what you didn’t like. Thanks guys

in my experience i have found i love CWB boards but none of their bindings hold up. I’ve had 2 pair, my husband 1 pair, my daughter 1 pair and several friends totaling 4 or 5 pair and they all have fallen apart. I would buy another brand if i were you. I went with slingshot, they are compatible with my CWB board…. LOVE EM!

Where can I find Liquid Force wakeboard bindings for a great deal?

Also, which one would be great for my boyfriend? He’s not a beginner but not expert. He’s learning and going to be (hopefully) getting good enough to compete. He has Hyperlite 30-60 boots right now, but after using his friend’s Liquid Force wants a pair of those.

Check out http://www.wakeboards.us/search.htm?keyword=Liquid+Force+Bindings out of the bindings that are on the page the Transit or the Shane would be the best choice.

can you wakeboard without the bindings?

My parents bought me a wakeboard thing but we dont have the boots or the bindings. Can I still use it and not fall off?

you probably could get up and not fall off. the "getting up" process would be like a wake skate so that’s no big deal. there is no grip area so it would be super slippery to stand on. the question is why would you want to. either buy bindings or trade it for a wake skate or surfer

What happened to all of the older wakeboard bindings?

Posted: January 25th, 2011 | Author: admin | Filed under: Wakeboard Bindings | 1 Comment »

What happened to all of the old school Wakeboard Bindings that are just slip in, rubber, high wraps?!?!?! I’m a show skier and I need to get in and out of my binding really fast so I can’t be dealing with laces, velcro or straps. With all of the new "boot style" bindings out now, I figured there would be TONS of older bindings laying around, but they’re nowhere to be found!

I have looked all over and nobody has them. Every now and then a pair comes up on e-bay, but they’re usually small or mediums and I need XL.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM!?!?!

I think wakeboarders realized how inferior they are to the new and improved style of bindings, figured nobody else would want them, and threw them in the trash. That’s what I did with mine anyways. sorry.

You could try posting on the forums at www.wakeworld.com or www.wakeboarder.com. I would think that there has to be at least a few people on there that have some old ones that they would be happy to get rid of.

Where could i get a wakeboard and bindings for around £150 ?

I’ve already searched ebay so anywhere else?

The simple fact that there’s a store that sells discount wakeboards, it doesn’t make it a smart idea just to buy their least expensive option. Discount Wakeboards or no, there are a number of very important features that need to be taken into consideration before buying your first or your next wakeboard.

For starter’s there’s safety. Both veterans and newcomers to wakeboarding need to put safety first.

The Press Ennen is a sick board. Even sicker deal with bindings. There’s other great deals on there if the Ennen isn’t in your size.

I have like obrien macwrap bindings on my board now there are horable to put on and take off.. dose any one know of a good pair of bindings that can be put on easy and are not to expincive? Also my board is hyperlite.

What is your budget anyway? "Not too expensive" is subjective.

Here are some great bindings. Things like BOA wheels and velcro straps will be the type of tech that will allow you to easily strap in and strap out.
