What wakeboard and bindings are right me?

Posted: July 26th, 2010 | Author: admin | Filed under: Wakeboard Bindings | 1 Comment »

I am a 5′3 145 LB lady. I am a beginner I went wake boarding one day at a lake and just loved it so I decided to get my own. I would like to keep the price on the lower side, but still be a good board and bindings. i also wear size 8 and a half womens in shoes if that has to do with anything. Please help.

depending on brand you need a 134ish size board. Just get the best one you can afford. It dooesn’t have to be top of the line for you to learn on. look at the brand names, you don’t want something that comes from any store with the word "mart" in it. other than that, you’re good.

Are my wakeboard bindings too tight?

Posted: June 29th, 2010 | Author: admin | Filed under: Wakeboard Bindings | 5 Comments »

I just bought Liquid Force Alpha bindings offline, and they feel really tight dry fitting. I don’t want to try them on in the water with the risk of not being able to return them?

Bindings are different wet, you are gonna have to try it.

You want them tight, but not so tight your toes start to tingle.

Best of luck.

Should i change bindings for goofy on my new wakeboard?

Posted: June 25th, 2010 | Author: admin | Filed under: Wakeboard Bindings | 3 Comments »

So i just ran over to Dunham’s and picked up a new wakeboard.. i am 100% new to the sport and know nothing about it. I do snowboard though and i ride goofy. My question really is should i reverse the bindings that i assume are currently set for regular boarders?.. im actually not even sure if it matters what side i use as the front of the board.. anyway, answers would be nice, and if indeed i do need to reverse my bindings, are their certain settings that i should follow? thanks

No you do not need to reverse your bindings.
most wakeboards are reversible, if you look on the bottom of the board all that matters is if the fins are the same on both the front and back.
All that changes is the graphics,. if you want the graphics to be facing the front then yes you could change the bindings.
hope this helps.

can men use women’s wakeboard bindings?

Posted: June 19th, 2010 | Author: admin | Filed under: Wakeboard Bindings | 2 Comments »

And if so, what are the size differences?

Yes, men can use women’s Wakeboard Bindings. Most Wakeboard Bindings are in fact unisex bindings, but if you do have a women’s specific binding, you can certainly use it. The only differences would be it might be a bit more narrow in the heel. Also, women’s sizing is 1 larger than a man’s so if you’re a size 8 men’s shoe and the bindings range from size 6-9 in women’s shoe size, you’d be good because a women’s 9 is a men’s 8.

Hyperlite audio wakeboard bindinds.?

I am getting new Wakeboard Bindings and I saw the hypelite audio bindings. Has anyone used them are they any good.

John I’ve never tried the Hyperlite Audio bindings so I can’t answer that question for you. But I love my Watsons some of the most comfortable bindings ever and easy to get large feet in and out of. I also have a pair of CWB bindings that have a rocker lever on the back and they have tons of room for getting your feet in and out of them. I’d suggest posting this question on www.Wakeworld.com in the forums under wakeboarding and you’ll get tons of great advice. Heck even pros hang out on that site and answer questions alot of the times!

Open toed bindinds or closed toed bindings?

Posted: March 22nd, 2010 | Author: admin | Filed under: Wakeboard Bindings | 2 Comments »

I am getting new Wakeboard Bindings but I don’t know what to get I am experienced at wakeboarding but I don’t know if I should get open toed Wakeboard Bindings or if I should get closed toed bindings
. What is the difference between the the two different bindings.

CT bindings are the only way to go. OT bindings will become more and more scarce within the next few years.

CT – Keep feet warmer during cold sets, feet less likely to slip around, feet are bound to the board better, better heel side responsiveness, more of a snowboard feel, they look cooler…etc..etc…

The only downside to CT vs OT is your toes will get jammed hard at least once so be prepared.

What wakeboard to get?

I’m looking for a new wakeboard. I’m willing to spend a good amount of money but clearly I don’t to break my bank and splurge like a grand or even near that… I’m an intermediate rider looking to get advanced and I want a board that I can count on its consistency, that will allow me to get better on and learn new tricks, and is light. I’m skinny at 6′2" 165lbs… size 11-12ish foot. A package deal with mounted bindings would be nice. Thanks for the help.
