Would either one of these boards work for me? I want a board that will help me do tricks and stuff like that.

With your height/weight a board in the 134cm range will work well for you. I wasn’t able to see a length on the Eric Ruck promodel, but the 136 Danny Harf deck will work. Since both are pro-models they should both offer a good amount of pop off the wake. The bindings can be used on either deck, so try both on and see which fits better.

What are wakeboard towers for?

Posted: June 28th, 2011 | Author: admin | Filed under: Wakeboard Tower | 3 Comments »

what’s the purpose of a Wakeboard Tower on a boat? like what do they do?

the tower is designed to pull at an upward angle for a skier to have easier time and more control. The tower also removes the stress from the transom or deck of the boat from a single point, and distributes the pressure to many points of the boat. The tower also works to remove the tendency for the tail of the boat to "Walk" sideways as a skier/boarder makes their cuts.

can you wakeboard without the bindings?

My parents bought me a wakeboard thing but we dont have the boots or the bindings. Can I still use it and not fall off?

you probably could get up and not fall off. the "getting up" process would be like a wake skate so that’s no big deal. there is no grip area so it would be super slippery to stand on. the question is why would you want to. either buy bindings or trade it for a wake skate or surfer

Yes you can install one on your boat. Many boats are fit later on with these type of items.

What happened to all of the older wakeboard bindings?

Posted: January 25th, 2011 | Author: admin | Filed under: Wakeboard Bindings | 1 Comment »

What happened to all of the old school Wakeboard Bindings that are just slip in, rubber, high wraps?!?!?! I’m a show skier and I need to get in and out of my binding really fast so I can’t be dealing with laces, velcro or straps. With all of the new "boot style" bindings out now, I figured there would be TONS of older bindings laying around, but they’re nowhere to be found!

I have looked all over and nobody has them. Every now and then a pair comes up on e-bay, but they’re usually small or mediums and I need XL.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM!?!?!

I think wakeboarders realized how inferior they are to the new and improved style of bindings, figured nobody else would want them, and threw them in the trash. That’s what I did with mine anyways. sorry.

You could try posting on the forums at www.wakeworld.com or www.wakeboarder.com. I would think that there has to be at least a few people on there that have some old ones that they would be happy to get rid of.

I am 6 ft 175 lb male, never been on a ski slope before… i have the opportunity to get a burton twin 139, unsure of the year, but with wear on 1 end, but the board is being offered for the low!…. since never snowboarded or ski’ed i dont know if this is appropriate size.. i can say that i ride a 140 and 145 Hyperlite Wakeboards… but being unfamiliar with riding on snow can anyone let me know if this board would work for me… lets just say the price i can get it for is really drawing me in… unless someone can give me better insight on the size i need… thanks

You really need a 157-160 if your just starting out

Learn how to ride the groomers.

If in the next couple seasons you decide you want to be a park rat, go for a 153-156

Have a great season, It’s a blast!

Where could i get a wakeboard and bindings for around £150 ?

I’ve already searched ebay so anywhere else?

The simple fact that there’s a store that sells discount wakeboards, it doesn’t make it a smart idea just to buy their least expensive option. Discount Wakeboards or no, there are a number of very important features that need to be taken into consideration before buying your first or your next wakeboard.

For starter’s there’s safety. Both veterans and newcomers to wakeboarding need to put safety first.
